well i just got off the phone with my attorney...he says i'll probably have to pay around $1000 a month...which will make me have to move back to the ship...and kick my roomates(my sis) and her fiancee. so i'll be able to pay her. But i'm really hoping this doesn't happen. Prayers definitly encouraged again. thank you all.
I'll let you know the outcome of the case when i get back in a few hours

I work for a legal firm. 4 years, in CA you write? Then there will be a term limit on spousal support. It really just depends on if the judge is paying attention and is sympathetic. You have a better chance if your court time is early in the day. After lunch is not a good time. Fatigue and boredom sets in, even with judges.

BTW - this is your first date. Try to work it out quickly. More court dates mean more attorney time. That is only more money going out than in.

My WHOLE case is final finally. Sharon and I agreed on terms that there was NO way the court would have gone in my favor. Basically yes i have to pay...but it is a far cry from 1200(which i found out is what the computer would have told the judge to order) it is only $300 for two years. That and ALL of you division of property/debts was resovled...i agreed to pay an extra $4000 of our debts if she agreed to this...note she now has to pay half of two existing loans that she wasn't paying anything on...But still ALOT better than i'd hope...not perfect...but i can afford to keep my place still. Plus i should be able to pay her all of it in advance with my reenlistment bonus..and never have to see/hear from her again. YAY!!!!!

Yeah I am happy for you....now its time to move forward and get on with your life...learn from this but leave it behind and don't judge all women for her actions...Good Luck to you!

its sad when things comes to this somone gets caught and they think the other one should hurt too. I asked God for favor for you to walk away clean a little shaken but not deffeated. Live,laugh,love

a little shaken is fine(i'm use to that lol)....whatever doesn't kill you only makes you stronger. But as one member here said earlier..karma(although i don't believe in that)...does have a way of coming back around.
