Don't see why not, I'm still friends with one of my ex's best friends. Helps that we're on better terms then we used to be I suppose, but in any case...

usually it doesn't work,but I see no problem with it. But than I'm lots older than you are. My friends and your friends are different

it seems that usually friends will pick sides when a break up occurs. If they ex's friend still wants to be friends then you should def stay friends with them. I think that's cool.

I see nothing wrong with remaining friend with them or even the ex in the end. One must move on and realize at times that some make better friends then they do partners.

It depends on the people and the friendships... sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't... usually the rule is the friends dump the ex when it's over...

Yeah there was a time shortly after my ex and I broke up that she upset I was talking to one of her friends. But we're past all that now, and actually talk on occasion ourselves. She's engaged too.

In my opinion, it is dysfunctional to be friends w/ an ex spouse or the person you had a child with... but just as dysfuntional to be enemies, that's why there's 'civility'! But, I think a lot of younger people w/o all that going on can bounce back enough to be friends.
