This road I have traveled.
At times I feel as if I’m about to come unraveled.
My journey at times seems to be long.
Makes me wonder could I be wrong.

Could I be looking in all the wrong places?
Going through life and not really looking at the faces.
That has passed me by everyday.
Was I not looking and glanced the other way?

Could it very well be that all this time?
I’ve been sitting here trying to rhyme.
Could it be that special one was right there?
And all this time I was unaware?

Could it be the one behind the counter?
Working each morning at the store that I encounter.
Or could it be were I check the mail?
Or somewhere down the walking trail.

Could it very well be they are right here?
All this time they were so very near.
But I was not looking there way.
I had passed them again just the other day.

Why is it at times we do not really see?
Or only see what we want to a degree?
Could at times our standards be so high?
But then we still will deny.

What we see right in front of us.
These are our standards and we will not take less.
Could it be all this time that I spent searching?
And doing all of this researching.

All I had to do was just look into there eyes.
And I would have realized I had found a prize.
Right there staring back at me.
All I had to do was open my eyes to a degree.

So next time you go down the street.
Don’t look down at your feet.
Look up at the world at hand.
For the one your looking for could be there as planned.

So true Txs.Human nature in most cases fall into the general trap of
stereotyping and get caught up in all the hype.I was once caught up in
that hype,but oh!did I ever learn.Here is an example Txs.One co-worker
has it all;flashy~trendy clothing,bomb car,popularity,hot girlfriend
excessive charm,etc.This clown wouldn't preform CPR on someone if that
person was dying right before his very eyes.Then you have the other
co-worker has barely nothing;he's got a rust bucket out in the parking
lot,old work uniforms with holes in them,drowning in bills,not popular
in any sense.But you know what he would perform CPR on someone in a red
hot sec.without a second thought,and would give you the shirt off his
back if you asked for it.I've had such co-workers so this is pure
fact.Moral of the story;never stereotype or judge someone like that for
they are the first to help or perhaps save your life one day even.By all
means keep your chin up,stay focused and look people direct in their
eyes for they may be that elusive one which whom you seek.Excellent

Ya know too many times on our search we seem to overlook the ones right
in front of us in our own neighborhood or in the next town or even the
ones we meet on a daily basis like the waitress or waiter that servered
us so next time meet there gaze and see you might be surprised at what
you see!
