Why can't most men be honest with a woman?

I wouldn't know I have had th opposite experience.. Also I think even
the most honest of people have hidden lies..WILL

well i dont lie but if you dont ask me then i dont tell eather kind

I have wondered this myself but again there are some things about my
husband that I wish that I didn't even know because it bothers me now.

These are not to offend any men out there and cause this topic said
"men"...and that just a sayin' I read one day it goes:
"Did you ever notice all these problem start with men?":
"Menopause"
"Menstrual cramp"
"Mental anxiety"
"Mental break down"

I don't think its only men that don't tell the truth..let me just say
that before I answer this question. I have known a few women out there
to lie to their husbands also, so in all fairness, some women also lie!!
I have found that men play a word game. What I mean by this is when we
say something like....did you sleep with her?
They say no, because he didn't sleep, he just banged her!
Do you love her? He will say no, because he don't love her, he just
likes to bang her!
See what I am saying...they talk around the subject, so I have learned
how they do this, so now I have learned how to ask the questions to
where they can not play that kind of a game with me :)

All men dont lie I know it is far better to tell the truth. If a woman
dont like the truth there is always one that will accept it. That way
it is better for all parties...

Well you hear the question put this way many many times. But... truth is
it's not one (men) or the other(women) it's both for you can not tell me
all men or women tell the truth yes you might but that is you can't put
the whole group as a one when all are different in there own ways. The
lies are told sometimes due to they are tired of being question on about
every thing they do,yelled at,treating them as a child,because you want
even try to understand, they know the truth will piss you off, its just
much easier then listening to u grip, they just want to go to sleep,you
treat them as your there mother -father instead of there partner. etc
etc.

what kind of lie are we talking about too?..is it the realtionship
destryoing kind or the little every day kind. For eg..."Do these jeans
make my ass look big?"... I know, it's an old one but the fact is, it's
a major pitfall for men..if ya don't wanna hear the truth..don't ask
us...if ya wanna hear the truth..ask one of yer g/fs instead..at least
yer feelings won't be hurt for some reason, when SHE tells ya.
And yes Will... I have some things I don't talk about..and it's just
easier to lie than say..sry..but that's none of your business.Cuz if ya
say that, you KNOW yer gonna be in for a bad time lol..one rule of thumb
I use when I ask a g/f about themselves...if there's even a remote
chance I may not like the answer, I don't ask. ;-)

ill tell you why people lie......selfishness.....and a fear of
conciquences

I have buried a few things that I have done in the past and hope to
keep them there. I still rather tell a woman or anyone esle for that
matter, that them no comment or not until I know you much closer. There
is one item that only 3 people know about. And those 3 are my ex, my
best friend(still friends since 5th grade), and someone else that just
happen to be involved in another group of the same people. For anyone to
know this part of my life you will have to have my full trust.

And women do not ask if we like your clothes or if they make you look
fat. I for one will give you my honest oppinion. Part of the problem
with that is we all have different taste. I hated my exwifes style. She
got good comments from many people but when she asked me what I thought
I told her the truth. She learned over the years to not ask.

I think that people lie because they are either scared of scaring the
other person off or just scared that people might look down on them.
Other than that they lie just because they are full of shit
