Well you started it and it certainly wasn't my fault, I was just sitting here minding my own business, being the sweet lovable person I am and you just had to start.....waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! i kid here, I am never the victim I always start it and I finish it to so there!

Because they dont want to change you mean they do not wish to hear criticism? so they assume the victim role? They believe thier way is the right way. To have to give in will make them feel powerless. They have to be the dominant one. Their are also some people that have been made to feel all their life, that everything they did was great.

We live in a culture that exalts the victim mentality. Everything is always everyone else's fault. Personal accountability no longer exists. It's much easier to be a victim, get attention and sympathy and million-dollar settlements from McDonald's, than it is to say "Hey, I screwed up, it's my own damn fault."

True, but if someone deliberately hurts me, I have no qualms about making sure that other people know. It's not being a victim so much as trying to help others avoid the same fate. I am not going to sit in a corner and quietly lick my wounds when someone hurts me. No way! I am going to point a finger and let the world know what kind of person the perpetrator really is.

Does this mean that if someone wrongs you, you should say nothing? I don't think speaking out for yourself makes you a victim. If you don't speak up, then other people become victims, too. Or are we supposed to just let people attack us and say nothing?

If it's just a matter of butting heads, it may just be a personality clash...or they got too worked up over an issue....wow, I see that all the time here. They may not be nice to me, but are still not likely to hurt someone else. But if they're evil...take em down! You know I'll back you up there!! (((Hiker)))
