I just heard that gas consumption; if it standsas it is today will deplete in four years if it continues as it is today.

The middle east says it will not begin new oil production.

I guess we better prepare to ride bikes or walk. Maybe start buying horses and buggies to get around in. It has been done before.

I know motorcycles are on the rise. Mostly those little ones. I forgot what they are called. Vespa.

If I have to ride a bike to work it is going to mean I have to leave two hours earlier to get there. Damn!! In these winters and summers we have?? Holy crap.

Food will be harder to get brought in. We will have to grow our own. Truckers are going to be hurt BIG time by this.

I'm going to go buy some fruit trees. I have plenty of yard to grow veggies in. That is if I can keep up the payments.

Try living in the most spread out city in America. Phoenix has a very poor public trasportation system. I too would have to leave 2 hours early to work on the bike.

A option for me is to work from home but I think that would sucke for me.

And my bike has a flat.......ohwell

Wrong, the Saudi King on a visit to Bushes Crawford ranch recently said he could increase the supply of oil to the US very easily. It would not do any good however, because the US does not possess the refinery capabilities to process that oil.

================================================================

What they said was that they would not raise oil production to lower the costs. Why should they when the oil companies are making record profits without building new refineries and the US has parked the largest most powerful military in the world right square in the middle of the ME. We are pressuring them to forgive the US-Iraqi governments debt to them and threatening to bring more war to their neighborhood!

Its never a bad idea to save fuel and exercise. Many of us already are. What we really need is a President who is not neck deep in the oil industry and getting richer by the day off the unbelievable profits they are raking in. What we need is a President who does not think foreign policy equates to aggressive postures. What we need is a President who understands the need for a national effort to find alternative energy sources and wean our dependence upon foreign oil.

Oh great. I'll finally graduate with a ton of school loans and won't be able to work more than 5 miles from my home. That's it, I'm moving to SanFrancisco.

ok so it's just an excuse, but I always wanted to go there.

Glad someone is posting the real reason why oil is so high - supply and demand. The war actually has very little to do with the price of oil.
