Hugs and support to you both.
Try to be as boundary oriented as you can, and focus on the stuff you did when she was little. Like, I love you, but I don't like what you did. Make it about behaviors not being who she is, and about loving her no matter what. That way you can focus on HER. And so can she. Or... do whatever her doctor tells you, if that is what your heart and mind tell you. I'm here for you, as always, whenever. |

Ah, Lilith, she is already trying to negotiate. I refused to have the conversation she wanted to have.

Good for you. Lines in the sand need to be made in the sandbox, not on the beach.
Hang tough.... you love her enough to say no. You always have. |

Tough love and lots of support but it's great news that she gets to come home!!

She had an epiphany - she realizes that she probably needs to take medication..she says she feels so much better..she is actually looking forward to going back to school.
I have my little nerd back!!! |

MI is like diabetes, you don't cure it, you maintain and treat it. And you didn't cause it....
That is a hard concept to get around with all the stigma. My heart goes out to her. |

I am sooo not looking forward to my kid's teenage years trust me- not all teenagers struggle with mental illness. We have been down this road before, my daughter and I. |

I am a little apprehensive. Afraid she is faking it to get out of the psyche ward. She is so capable of it.
