I am a friend of Bill W. and Dr. Bob. I have been a friend for over 24 years. 11/11/83 is my sobriety and clean date. Coming on to be 25 years this coming November.

Thanks, Jace. I can survive on fresh air without huffing paint stripper and tea, coffee and pop satisfies my thirst better than alcohol. It did take some getting use to though. But I manage.

Life is so much better. I am grateful that my daughter has never seen me drink.

You know what to do.

Oh, I hear that, Hiker. My daughter never saw me drink, either but we did share quality time when I took her to the meetings. She would sit in the back room with her coloring book for a little while. Then she would get bored. Some members would complain but others who had kids, too wouldn't complain. Heck, all the times I wasn't there for her, you know. A few meetings ago the chairperson had their grandson who was crawling all over the table and it was impossible to have a normal meeting so we all just had a good time watching the little boy play but eventually the grandfather said, "Well, it is time to take the animal home."

But I only read the first 164 pages, unless I want to read my story to scare myself or remind myself where I came from.
