You have family that is helping you which is wonderful. Alot of people don't even have that. My dad has CP as well. It's a alot to go thru. Since you have support, try to get some time away for yourself. Join a support group, book club, church function, whatever it is that you like to do to get out there and meet people and have fun. You just seem more over burdened than low on self esteem.

You need a support system. Ask your doctors or your children's doctors/psychiatrist or social worker for referrals for groups of other single moms facing similar issues. I don't know about the father in this situation, but if at all possible get him involved and/or his family. You have to address your own emotional and physical needs first or you won't be able to offer the best support to your kids. Best of luck to you..will keep good thoughts for ya!

Thanks everyone. Oh in response to getting dad involved. I'm dealing with two different men(dads). My sons dad is involved and I wish in someways he wasn't. Since I have him I get called when he gets in trouble at school. Well last Friday I got called my son threw a chair across the room because he didn't get his way. His dad was out of the picture for two years and I NEVER had these problems even with his adhd. Now that his dad is back I'm getting calls like this. I'm at my wits end and feel like I have no support when it comes to discipline. I don't want to keep my son from his dad, but I can not keep going like this either. Whatdod I do? My daughter's dad on the other hand is not involved. He hasn't seen her in over a year. He goes through town at least once a month for probation\court.

Have you looked in to the Cub Scouts in your area? I kow there are a lot of women in your situation there and many of the boys are just in need of good male role models. I actually signed up my boys so they could be around some good female role models. I'll keep you in my prayers.

NEWS ALERT My daughter's dad has seen her since I was last on here. Jerk paid more attention to my son than his own daughter. I'm going to take him for child-support. I feel that's the least he can do for her. My son is doing better. We're still having problems but he has calmed down some. I got the Drs. to increase the dosage of his medicine, not that I liked doing it, but I had to do something. His dad isn't helping by not giving him his medicine though.Men aaaaahhhhhh I believe there are good one's out there I've only met a selected few though. (They are my family). Don't get me wrong about the jerk part I'm glad he paid attention to my son, but to ignore her.

Child Support Child Support I got it 250 a month. Now to get him to pay up like the other one is. Anywho I may not be single much longer I've been talking to a man in Mineral Wells.
