I have never felt so disrespected in my life. I am the Director of a Service Department for a large Toyota Dealership. Over the last 20 years I have obtained several awards from HOnda and Toyota Manufactures for high schievements in profit and customer satisfaction. I have taught thousands how to change their ethic and be more profitable and serve the customer better...Needless to say without boasting too much, I have made a great name for myself in the business....

So just about an hour ago..My daughter and I are in Toys R Us having a great time...My boss then calls me on my cell phone and proceeds to tear my ass apart because one customer complained to him that their car was going to take another two hours to complete because of additional repairs needed! He flat out said that since his day was now ruined it was only fair to ruin mine...Even though he knew I had my daughter and we had big plans this weekend...

This behavior is what I wont tolerate. I work over 65 hours a week busting my ass to fix this store and have done wonders for this place in 4 months! I am so tempted to throw my keys at his ass Monday morning and say Im done! I will have a job on Tuesday no problem....

Never react cuz instinct is always wrong.

I'll agree it appears you have a gripe but let it sit for a bit and then respond accordingly when you have thought through the options.

Good luck dude. flowerforyou

Being that I am responsible for everything that happens in the service department, that does fall in my lap unfortunately

Noby has the right to treat you that way. Maybe if the customer took better care of there car it would not need to take so long to get repaired....LOL.

But yea i would not put up with it. That is just disrespectful. My boss yelled at me ONCE while I was working, I yelled right back, since that day he is nothing but nice to me.

Do not let your emotions rule your head
you must be like me in the later stage of your career. It is ok to quit but line up something first. Do not throw the old shoes away until you buy a new pair if that is qhat you want.

I'd let him know that since he ruined you day off, he is going to give you another one. Period.

Are you salary? Take the time off! I worked 60 hours weeks, saturdays, holidays and was outsourced. My solution was going back to school and doing something I wanted to do. Enough of the corporate games for me.

Do not quit like this, start looking around for a replacement job and when you leave(if you do) let him know why.

I don't know how it is in your industry but quitting without notice is never good for your reputation. If you like your job, try telling your boss how his behavior made you feel.

When bosses get p*ssed off they tend to forget how much they value a good employee.

unless youre working for yourself, you are always going to be at the mercy of a superior. Its sucks to be a subordinate, no matter how good you do your job.

too bad they dont appreciate your efforts.
