This one was not easy. Brought back a lot of hard, painful memories. If
you're looking for romance or cheery skip this one.

The Victim

Sweet, stick in the nose smell
Thick, unrelenting, unforgetable odor
Slime running down wall and pipe
Must find the source, must make it right
In the stairwell, hidden place
Open door, drop to the floor
A bundle, not a gift
Leave this place, leave this hell
Get away from the smell
Dress to leave nothing behind
Perfume under my nose
Return to hell, return to the smell
Somebody's daughter
Somebody's sister
Somebody's lover
Anger, beat the walls
Rage, beat the doors
I make the calls and go outside
December's cold, I feel nothing
Someone's family will cry tonight

In the fields that we have worked in Karma, you and I have had to see
and experience some very harsh realities, you managed to capture this
particular experience with dignity and real emotion,I know what you've
seen but you have now shown me what you felt.Well written, my friend.

Oh My Gawd!I felt like I slid into the pages of a D.Koontz novel and I'm
trying to escape before the book is closed shut.Very powerful
Karma.Sweet Jesus!;I can only hope this was not inspired from a previous
occupation.Very frightening indeed.Godspeed!Cybear.glasses

Cybear this is the worst I've had to cope with as a security officer.
Happened back in '95.

Sad but glad you could let it out. I worked in the prison system for 17
years and typed horrible reports and read incredible things, still have
bad dreams about some of it. This brings back memories, but you do need
to let it out. Thanks for doing the work you do, takes a special kind
of person to do what you do. You brought relief to someone's family
that night, helped them achieve some peace of mind finally.

Thank you all. Yeah it did help to write about it.

Marie55, I met her family months later and again at the trial. We had a
group crying session each time.
