people with power abuse it all the time, here they were just stupid enough to be videotaped while doing so.

I agree fran, but it seems like there's a missing part to that video.

It looks bad as is, but I wonder what happened before the video starts.

It looks bad though.
WOW!!grumble

I agree appears to have missing parts, but just look male officers undressing and with an undressed woman, that alone turns my stomach, abuse of power, doesnt matter who took off her clothing leave the woman an inklin of dignity. officers should have been female. jmo

If you look when the undressing is going on it is two female officers doing the undressing. The male officer is only holding her down with the cuffs. That shows that there were female officers present. I agree though there are missing parts of the video and it does seem that something happened before he tape started rolling.

What isn't clear is why she called 911 in the first place. Was she involved in a fight or something? And how do we presume she was drunk? That doesn't appear to be clear in the video.

Leaving her alone for 6 hours with no clothes? Terrible. Hope she wins her case.

sensational "reporting" at its best. The only think I saw innapropriate were the two male officers involved. Otherwise, just a hysterical drunk out of control....
the "victim", "accidentally" gives a fake id???? Come on...!! Im sure she'll make a butt-load of money off of this. The Sheriff's department left themselves wide open on this case....
I bet that you would not like to have been you ,maybe you should see the whole story

she was in a physical altercation with her cousin that had left her bleeding, and some hair pulled out.

Do not watch if you do not want to get upset

unreal. They will get a slap on the hand and a paid suspension or some bs.
they should be tried for sexual assualt in my opinion

Going off just this one video and nothing else, no they should not be covicted of assault, sexual or non. They specifically asked if she ahd any objects that could harm her or others, and if she had ever though or tried to harm herself. She got smartmouthed about it and replied, when? now? or in the past? That line right there suggests she has had issues with self harm, and thuis the cops were justified in putting her on a suicide style watchm, which CAN involve a strip search, as people can hide amaziong things anywhere ont heir bodies.

As far as men being involved, yes they should not have been, due to company policy. On a personal note however,a s far as I am concerned, if you are being held in jail for something (assuming it is justified inthe first place), You do not have the right to Females with Females, and no men present, or vice versa. What happens if in a small area there happens to be no female officer, and a female is taken into custody and has to be strip searched? Say there is reasont o believe, she shoved some drugs up her koochie in order to hide them form police. Are yo going to make her wait until a female officer from another county can be located and borrowed (which involves a hell of a lot of paperwork) in order to locate the drugs, and thus cause her to risk od'ing?

No, as far as I am concenrned, if you are being strip-searched (again, justifiably) then the gender of the person(s) involved should not matter, as long as no misconduct was involved.

And as for 7 people in the cell with her? At 125 lbs, if she decided to fight full out, which she probably did, it could very easliy take 7 people just to hold her down enough so she would not be injured by her own thrashing and fighting.

so denying medical treatment, arresting a person who calls for help, breaking department policy, strip searching for a minor offense, those are all "sensationalized"? This is not nazi germany, you do not have to produce identification to an officer unless operating a motor vehicle, you need only give your name, and d.o.b. I carried my brothers d.l. in my wallet for a year after he died. It is ridiculous bs. Welcome to the home of the free

One statement is wrong; Yes you ARE required to produce id if asked by an officer of the law, no matter what the situation. Most states anyway, require you to have id on you, or at hand, at all times when you are not in your own home. And obviously if your in your own home it will be at hand.
