A long rough road
tumultuous time
You viciously
Played with my mind
Held me down
Into a place so deep
All i could do
Is pray and weep
Bruises will fade
But the pain shall remain
I pray for my children
And all they have seen
Weep for my weakness
For letting them live like this

All we have lived through
All they have witnessed
The anger in his voice
The pain in my eyes
The bruises and black eyes
I tried to disguise
Its been a year now
Since we broke away
And i pray that in time
All the hurt will begin to fade
