What would you wear on your first date? I will be going on my first date with this guy. It's been about 3 or 4 years now so I am a bit rusty. My friend is helping find an outfit. But I'd like to know (women; or if guys have an idea) what would be good to wear...a dress, skirt, shorts, pants?

Depending on where we are going. Im wearing Jeans and a decent shirt...with flip flops. But I live in FL so flip flops are ALWAYS okay.

go medium dress.......shows intrest but restaint at the same time

Depends if it is a casual outting or if your going somewhere fancy, personally I wouldn't mind what a lady chooses to wear as long as she was comfortable. But I don't speak for everyone.

I'd say dress appropriate to the occasion. Don't dress too fancy or too casual...just dress to make a good impression yet appear relaxed.

So for a dinner, I'd say a nice outfit or dress. Coffee I'd say just some fitted jeans and a nice top. You get the idea?

For guys it's the same. Coffee date I'll wear a nice pair of fitted jeans with a button up shirt. Dinner I'll put on something slightly more fancy. Maybe a suit jacket with the jeans and a shirt, or even a suit with no tie if it's a nicer spot.

The goal really is to make a good first impression, but not to appear as something you're not.

thats what i wore on my first date as well....jeans, flips and st pattys day tshirt..lol...of course i did change my shirt when we went to eat...but that what i met him in...comfy is the way to go !!!!!!

Cool. I was thinking of a summer dress. One: I don't have one and have always wanted one. Two: I think it is pretty casual and attractive for a first date. I'll soon see.
