So this guy wants to meet and have dinner... First my table manners are not that great, second I'm nervous, and lastly I haven't been on a date since high school. What type of place is good to go to on a first date?

I was going to suggest the same thing. Never dinner on a first date. Bowling is good though because you are constantly moving.

practice at home your manners cause practice makes perfect... start with chewing your food with your mouth shut... then move on to using the napkin to wipe your face

go to a mall theres so much going on it might help hide your bad manners. or you could just tell him that thats one of your needs improvement areas. who knows it might not even be an issue. good luck.

try an early evening or afternoon date, something casual where you can have appetizers. buying you more time to upgrade your utensil skills.
