I recently messaged a woman not of my race trying to get to know her better. She said she doesn't believe in interacial dating and most of society doesn't either. I wanna know what do Just Say Hi family thinks about this touchy subject and be honest. I have thick skin - MIKE

I thought yesterday you found the love of your life?

Oh wow you're black. I honestly couldn't tell in the pic till I blew it up. LOL, who cares?

I love women of any color. I would gladly love any one regardless of skin tone. What a stupid thing to say is all I can think of. That's not a very good way to start a conversation.

"I normally never date anyone with red hair but..."...how stupid!

What if your soulmate was of a different color?
Oops... ya missed out for life. (lesson learned)

Most of the time I simply ask if it's a issue.
If it is, you can still be friends.
I agree love is blind.

I think it's too each their own and not for anyone else to judge... If she doesn't want to date out of her race that's fine but I think it's an inaccurate statement to say "most agree" there are too many interracial relationships for that statement...

(((Princess)))

You are so right on.

It's fine if she makes that choice for herself, but come one. Most of society doesn't either???????? I think she has been stuck under a rock fro the past 35 years or so.

Clark.... This is a really good question. I thought about when I dated an Italian man... Not all Italians are the same, but in his family you only dated Italians, I'm white, ivory skinned blond and this man loved me... his family did not. We got engaged and had a child - the child was accepted, but I was not.
It didn't last. I also remember my parents who came from Irish and German descent - back when they were dating Irish stayed with one and the German's stayed with theirs - people don't even think this way now. It's your preference and what your comfortable with and RESPECTING one another. God doesn't see color. Some people like brown sugar, some like white. Some people like Clark Kent, some like Superman.....

Seriously was that a one night fling or what?

Hey, if anyone in San Diego wants to fall in love for a night so we can pronounce our undying afection in between our hot passionate sex sessions just give me a jingle.

Mike, You have to accept the fact that everyone has their own opinion and their own preferences as far as race is concerned. If she does not date outside of her own race, it cannot be forced upon her. The only person who can change her mind is her herself. I personally do not care if a woman is green. If the feeling is there inside, I do not see green, I see and feel love!

I'm colorblind in that respect but I do have cultural preferences for comfort reasons. To each their own.

This is an honest answer, so don't yell at me,ok?

I was raised as was many others that we do not do such things and to do so would mean you were rejected from the family. Looked down on and insulted. There are still a few of them that think that way.
That being said, I came out of my racist shell and saw the beauty of all people. I began to make friends of all races. I came to love them. I saw color no more.

Two of my sons have dated out of their race. I am proud to say that they did not learn to be racist from me. I killed that myth with my kids.

Now finding out about gay family members was hard. It took years to come to terms with that. I am happy to say that I am very proud to be a gay activist for family and friends.

I think that love has to be blind. Because the heart doesn't pick by color, or gender. We cannot control how the heart beats for another.

I married a man that was half Hispanic. He was gorgeous and loving and tender. As are most of our human family. I would have loved him had he been any race.

We just have to not let others choose our lives for us.
