Thanks. I don't have any credentials, just a lurker and reader who got into this after an early retirement with nothing better to do. But we'll see if the ladies also go for old jocks.

Don't really need any of that crap lol. I've known some crazy people who haven't even used creatine. I'm alright myself and just use the GNC sport vitamin that everyone uses. Just have to work hard and keep at it.

Not compared to supplements. Plus it can be reasonably cheap/peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and tuna (tuna is VERY good) are pretty cheap.

Not if you have protein shakes - cheap, good and filling.

Ya, shakes are good too, cept the taste, just try to eat around 50-100 grams within hour of your workout, because thats when your muscles are absorbing it to repair the most.

I exercise to tone, my younger son claims that stuff is a cheat, but we muscle up fast and don't carry a lot of weight. I attempted to give GNC-Protein Powder to my daughter to gain weight and she had an allergic reaction. She is differently abled, so it may just be her.

Ya gotta try this - it adds some carbs, but it's delicious!

cup of yogurt, cup of milk/water/oj, scoop of protein and frozen fruit

Most of them work more for show anyway. Like creatine for example is in your food anyway and the body makes it. When you take creatine supplements it just forces more water in your musclefiber making them bigger and stronger but someone who isn't using it of the same size will be stronger generally.
