Ya, shakes are good too, cept the taste, just try to eat around 50-100 grams within hour of your workout, because thats when your muscles are absorbing it to repair the most.

And, I have to disagree...your body can only assimilate around 40 grams of protein at a time.flowerforyou

You want carbs if you excersice anyway, otherwise you burn protein(your muscle) instead.

You want to overload it though, also after time your body will be able to absorb more. Also want to eat probably 10-20 before.

Ya, youll notice it in your workout too. If you eat something like spagetti the night before you will notice how much extra energy you have.

Credentials? I'm a former personal trainer, nutritionist and gym owner, and I took an awful lotta physiology classes. But, in reality, unfortunately in this industry, credentials don't mean much, as it is not well-regulated. Everyone's an expert!laugh

Pretty much true, I usually go by what people I have seen perform say, because if they actually do it and show results, then chances are it works.

This, I realize. And that was my point. The OP asked for credentials from posters.flowerforyou
