I don't expect, this way I get a great suprise out of a meet...whether it be pleasant or not is another story.

as soon as you start placing unrealistic expectations on someone else you doom them to inevitably disappointing you... once they disappoint you, then your view of them slowly gets poisoned and things begin on a downward spiral toward ending

The only expectations I have for a meeting with a long distance friend is to have fun. Anything else is bonus....

It depends how much you care about your significant other. If you can't work it out, expectations are'nt the problem

besides...isn't it much nicer if someone does soemthing because they care...and not because you expect them to?

If your expectations are way up there, then most of us look pretty unappetizing from the git go, so you'll never be happy with anyone.

I also think that a lot of ppl feel that accepting someone for who they are means settling for less. It's time to take off the rose colored glasses then. flowerforyou
