Mslula, you are not alone, and, trust me, it can be just as bad for a
guy such as myself....I met a girl from another site a couple years ago;
she was intelligent and fun and cute BUT her big thrill in life was to
start fires in hotel rooms. Needless to say, I wanted no part of that,
especially since you had to put a quarter in the fire extinguisher to
get it to work.

I met TWO last year (other sites again) and they were -- well, let's
just say they were a LITTLE dishonest, in the same way that Mt. Everest
is a LITTLE bit tall.

I've actually given up on meeting anybody several times, but sheer
obstinacy and stupidity keep driving me back into the pool....

Question

Are we, as a society, looking for a fast cure to everything in our
lives? Take a pill for an erection, better mood, fast food, faster
transportation, faster relationships. Isn't life better when you slow
down/"stop & smell the roses?" If we take time, figure out what we
really want & WORK to achieve that goal, isn't that some of the greatest
satisfaction we could ever feel. My best relationship, built slowly
over 4 yrs. Longterm friendship that grew & grew. Long distance
relationships, do they not work because of what we want NOW? Could they
be the best thing we will ever achieve, IF we take the time & EFFORT to
give them a chance. Does distance allow YOU to be more yourself,
because you can't make a fast move that is really a mistake.

Hope you all follow me on this & I would really like your thoughts.
