If I don't have the money to ask someone out, I won't ask. If they pay, it's even better, but I strongly believe you shouldn't ask anyone out if you don't plan on paying.
she asked me out babe

I can see that... and I'm saying... whoever asks should be expected to pay.
ehhhhh lets agree to disagreeflowerforyou

How are we in disagreement?!? laugh laugh She asked you out, you wanted her to pay... she didn't, I'm saying she should... laugh  bah!
sorry i had a dumb marine moment

As a with my loud mouth, I'd say split it or take turns paying. I don't want the guy ALWAYS paying for me. Thats not fair for him and I wouldn't want him to think I'm using him or something. I would prefer to pay for every second dinner out for the both of us and always for myself, why? Because then I can show some of my independence. I've been in relationships where men "tally up" how much money they've spent on me and what they've bought me for gifts and when we have a disagreement, this is brought up..."how can you treat me like this? after all I've done for you? After all the money I've spent on you to show you how much I care?" Blah Blah Blah. Plus the more they spend on me the more I get the feeling they want something in return.

Puh Leeeez! I don't need the guilt trip and if you want to show me how much you care, do something that does not cost money, like a well it doesn't matter here what I like but hey you get the idea! laugh

This is why I would prefer to pay for every second outing or meal out, and def for me always! Who made it law that men have to do all the paying?

Good luck with what you do with that one! Haflowerforyou

flowerforyou laugh you go, ella... I'm the same way... but I mostly do it cuz I like to share.. sharing is caring. Carebears care! laugh

I don't understand why that girl said the man should always pay. By what logic? It hardly seems fair.

huh

well, what I read in ur original post or rant.. said NOTHING that she took you out... It stating that you had an "outing" for her friends bday...

at the end it said something about you asking her if she could ever pay or if she "could EVER take u out"... so uhm not sure.. what u all are talkn about stating "she took u out" and didnt pay...

FYI.. I don't take men out.... Nor ask them out.

Nor I never stated it was a "mans JOB" to pay. Misquoted.

It is simple manners.
This is far beyond roles in dating, but it is so simple.

To bad it's come down to money it seemsnoway
Expectations kill everything.

BTW

I'm not responsible for how u feel..

so lets look at this simply. this was one instance.

you have dated 24 times hockey games.....movies...........blah blah blah

Over what period of time was these dates

then does she do anything for you besides go out with you and occassionally spend the night.

ex; cook a meal at her home or yours

help you wash your car

maybe help you clean up your house

anything.....................

Women work also...They shouldnt "expect" to be paid for all the time....

Isnt dating and relationships supposed to be a partnership? 50/50? Equality from both parts?

as a woman, i don't get this. women can make as much, sometimes more than the guy, why is who pays so important. if you care about someone it should be natural to both to want to share in this. huh JMO

you don't think simple manners would dictate that you pay your own way? You grew up on different planet than I did, I assume.
