I have recognized things about myself that I need to change and am working on. I have never been more commited to healing wounds, tearing down defenses and correcting bad habbits and behaviors. I grew up in a very disfuctional abusive family. I was not given an accurate picture of what love is. Athlough I did not carry the amount of disfunction and abuse into my adult relationships....they were still abusive and disfunctional. I struggled within myself to escape what seemed impossible to do. This ruined the best thing I ever had, which was the wake up call I actually needed. So for the past 18 months I have been on a journey of rediscovery and change for the better. Looking for peace, forgiveness and a true picture of love. I feel that I have made great strides in changing my heart and becoming a man of noble character, loving, and peaceful. I have a few set backs from time to time, but those are becoming less and less and I am better equiped spiritualy and emotionally to deal with them....

But...it seems as if those who always wanted me to change now try to hinder me from changing. They attack me with amature psychologies saying I things like I am crazy or just plain evil. They reject any notion that I have the ability to change or ever will.

So why is it that when you do start to try to change, nobody seems to support you, and to the contrary they seek to de-rail you? I just dont understand this because you would think that people would truly want to see the good in others...and not just want people to be in misery for the rest of their lives.

Continue to focus on you,one day at a time.Some are not use to change.Good luck

people like to believe they had a hand in changing a person (project), as you're doing it all on your own they figure you dont need them, they wont support you. typical B.S. if you ask me

Your already dressed as a sniper, just shoot the people that are bringing you down.
