Before entering the medical field I was a behaviorist for a juvenile sex offender treatment center for a few years. I know I made differences in their lives because I am still sent letter to my old job explaining how I have helped the clients I have had in the past, either from themselves or a loved one.

Also, I believe that all the things I do make a difference in someones life. Good or bad. As well as like in yours.

i was a girl scout leader for yrs... i think i made a difference by doing that... teaching others to help others and be giving and that each girl was individually cared for and special.. i had a troop of 12 brownies with no help every week then i found 2 older girls in the neighborhood to help and they enjoyed it.. i soon realized that these girls by helping could be a girl scout so i added to my 12 brownies and had 2 troops at once ran them at the same time and the 2 older ones were important also. they all worked together and could earn their badges that way... awww i miss all the girls!! who are now young ladieslaugh laugh i wonder if any of them are girl scout leaders now? hummdrinker drinker

((((check-check))))to all the above....it's been my lifes work...unfortunately it chose me, I did not choose it...but then my belief system supports its manafestaion by the placement of the planets in my chart.....destiny is what it is.....flowerforyou

...I have been told I am poor in worldly goods but rich in the knowledge I have touched and changed peoples lives, kinda soothes my ego about never having much of the good life....flowerforyou

My buddy and I once carried a elderly man out of a burning apartment building. We were probably remembered but we never told anybody our names.

Not enough is my answer. One of the reasons I am in school is to help people who can not afford their own homes. I want to get into the system and change that as everyone who works hard should reap the rewards of their effort and not have to pay rent to someone else. The rent should be the mortgage payment.

I help people all the time...and get surprised frequently by those people helping others... kind of like paying it forward...

Makes me smile to see unsolicited random acts of kindnessdrinker drinker flowerforyou

I try and do things everyday --- as for being remembered i am sure at times i am -- i too was a girl scout leader -- and have actually had a couple girls call me years later tell me it was the time of their life ---

That is fantastic! flowerforyou And is one of the best ways to help someone who is homeless. Give them something to eat. We had a thread on here and it was fairly ugly the opinions expressed by some. They are like a lot of others who think the only people who are homeless are lazy panhandlers driving BMW's home at night. It was a shocking thread.
