Not enough is my answer. One of the reasons I am in school is to help people who can not afford their own homes. I want to get into the system and change that as everyone who works hard should reap the rewards of their effort and not have to pay rent to someone else. The rent should be the mortgage payment.  so dont forget yourself too!!!

one year when i had extra money.. i adopted a girl for xmas... i knew her father and knew he really needed help.... so i decided to adopt her oooo it was fun!!! i got to buy all the things for a younger child again!! and wrapped them all up too
|

one day i wasonline here and there was a guy who posted a thread.. said that he was going to kill himself.. everyone was just tearing him apart cuz he had posted what was obviously a cry for help.. i sent him an email and posted in the thread that everyone shoul leave him alone and that we have all been there before..
we are still friends to this day.. he said that the gun was on his table and that the only one who tried to talk him out of it was me... it was an odd experience.. but one that realy makes ya think sometimes.

i did that too irad...i bought lunch for a homeless person did not give him money.. but more importantly i decided to have lunch with him... and i bet he will never forget he even actually talked to me!! and he never talked i think the company made the bigger difference we sat on a bench downtown seattle at pike place market chatted a bit and ate i also never seen him smile before that day
That is fantastic! And is one of the best ways to help someone who is homeless. Give them something to eat. We had a thread on here and it was fairly ugly the opinions expressed by some. They are like a lot of others who think the only people who are homeless are lazy panhandlers driving BMW's home at night. It was a shocking thread.
It was very disturbing.
