I split my year between 2 different locations, climates, even states. It seems to work for me - up to a point. Not necessarily a white picket fence, but it seems like "most" want to lay down roots in ONE geographic location. Even though I feel a sense of community in each location, I find it difficult to find anyone that agrees. Could you feel "at home" in more than one location?

Was Born and raise here in Iowa so this is home to me, can not picture being any where else

I'd love to split my time between the beach and mountains! that is what I was going to say. Could never decide which I liked better. Right now I just live in the country.
