The rest of the world gives the USA a hard time because they want us to be stripped of our "Super Power" status. They want a complete globalization of all government to "equalize". This wont work. There is a double standard. When the world sees that military action or policing needs to be done in places where human suffering is being handed down by dictatorships they expect the USA to jump in and do the right thing. When we do they call us bullies.

When the world sees that military action or policing needs to be done in places where human suffering is being handed down by dictatorships they expect the USA to jump in and do the right thing. When we do they call us bullies. Actually it's when your President tries to be the schoolyard bully and 'order' other countries to join in that people get upset. The 'with us or against us - right or wrong'. Case in point being Iraq. Canada refused and was threatened with business losses. France refused and now you have 'freedom fries'. Perhaps if the leader(s) of the U.S. didn't act as bullies then the nation wouldn't be perceived as bully. Add to that mess the behavior of some Americans overseas (acting like they are owed because the are American). Definitely not the best image for a country to have. |
