Isaiah has 66 chapters. The Bible has 66 books. Isaiah has 39 books of complaint/punishment/dire warnings, etc. and 27 books of promise. The Old Testament has 39 books and the New has 27. Isaiah mirrors the bible.

I heard the other day that Moses wrote 27 percent of the old testament and Saul/Paul wrote 27 percent of the new. There's lots of parallels like this in the Bible. I learn about them from the Trinity Broadcasting Network and the local Christian radio stations. If you havn't checked out TBN, I'd urge you to give them a viewing. You may be surprised at what you find.

Last night they had a great film with Kirk Douglas in it. It was about a Quaker family and their struggles during the Civil War. Pretty entertaining flick, believe it or not!

Does anyone remember when TBN had this guy who they claimed was a true prophet. and he went into this trance like state and says that as a warning to all the earth that on June 8th that the greatest biggest earthquake ever was going to happen. Well for 3 months this is about all TBN and CBN could talk about . so i made sure i watched thier show on June 8th. Nothing happened and then on June 9th both TBN and CBN both said the Prophecy had come true. The biggest earthquake that ever happened did happen but they had found out that it happened so far deep in the earth that we could not feel it. Just unbelieveable. if some other religion would of said anything even close to that they would of slammed them for years to come as being false prophets that was prophesied would come. And people still believe they are out thier to save thier soul and not save their hundreds of millions of dollars thier families are worth.Blessings..Miles

I haven't really noticed all that Bling. Jessey Duplant is flamboyant, though. He oughta have it if he don't. The lady who runs the thing is heavily made up, too, but you gotta look beyond that.

It's whats inside a person that counts, not what they wear. Yeah, there are some whacked out things on TBN and you do have to use some discernment to figure out what's what (i.e. watch Benny Hinn for some of the wilder stuff lately).

But if you're using your discernment and you tune in stuff like Billy Graham, Crespo Dollar, Ralph Stanley and others, you can see some great stuff on there, stuff you'll find nowhere else. I've learned more from TBN in the last months than I learned the last 50 years of reading the Bible sporadically and going in and out of the faith community. The Lord is opening some doors in my life, and he can open them in yours, too. I hope that he does. Let it happen. Greatest thing in the world, bling or no.

Oops. You're right. I think it is Charles Stanley. It's late and I got him crossed with a bluegrass artist. My bad!

Another gal on the radio that's awesome is Nancy DeHaart. I think she's with remember our hearts dot com or some such.

If "bling or no bling" is the way to go why did Jesus throw the Money changers out of the Church?

Why did he make the statement about how hard it is for rich man to pass into heaven?

Is the message of Jesus open to that much interpretation? Or is it important to follow what he really says?
