I dont know if you could stand the authentic or not.
It is hotter than anything Ive eaten in the states.

Not all of the authentic is hot, they have certain things that are hot. Their regular salsa which is called pice or something like that is made with tomatoes, garlic, cilantro, onions, and a type of chili but it is not hot unless you request the hot one. Green chilis are not all hot either. They smell hot but are not. I make some homemade green chili that would burn your eyebrows off but I use hotter chilis then usually do. Their green chili also has beans in it instead of the meat chili we are used to here.

Actually two of them. A large outdoor one in my city. I am going straight to the corn on the cob - mayo, parmeson(sp) cheese, and chili pepper. Yum. And enjoy the music.
In the evening I am going to the Mexican Hall in another city to see my child's Aunt's bf and his daughter dance in costume.
More Hispanic food and music.

You know whats funny!
Its a Mexican Holiday! Its there 4th of July and yet most of the ones Ive asked dont even know who the won their Independence from to begin Cinco de Mayo!

Ask them, see what they say.. I have!!!laugh laugh laugh

I did ask my friends, Fanta. They knew. They taught me about how they beat the French. My friend is a history nut with Mexico and the U.S.

Good for them!
I did say most!!!drinker

Oh, yeah, I've eaten authentic cooked in my friend's home. He also has a small restaurant. He has spoiled me with his cooking. He cooks - not his wife. They tell me which sauces are the least hot.laugh

Different areas use different spices. Each area's tacos are very different from each others.

That is true too. Also the burrito is not mexican that is an American creation. They have incorporated it into their menus in some places but it is not their creation. A Flauta is the closest thing to a burrito they had

Symbelyne is not here in the US so her time frame is probably off from ours anyway. But she will be back, I am sure. I haven't seen her give up once yet I don't think. I always admire conviction.bigsmile

regardless of time zones...she let it die after my questions before and didn't respond when i brought it up while she was here. she didn't keep it on track and avoided the question 2 times. sorry but if you believe in something that strong you don't do that unless you can't

there is a 6 hour time difference and there are lots of posts sometimes..so if I didnt address your question its probablly because I either missed it or didnt find it relevant enough to address....thank you for the compliment about my conviction. You can count on that!
