Think of everyone as politicians and used car salesmen.... lol Lex, true that! In answer to the question, just being in the forums and learning peoples mannerisms will help. But now for email, my best advice is to talk to someone and really get to know them before giving them any personal information. that's my point though... who's to say you're getting to know the real them? You don't really know, it takes time with anything and just being friends on here, isn't that putting a little tust? |

Thats pretty much true outside of the internet (i don't like to say "in the real world" because that implies that people aren't real) What i'm saying is, you have to take the time to get to know someone. It only seems more pretentious people are on the net, because of the sheer volume of people. Think about it, online you are in the midst of thousands, not the same as the offline world. Same odds, different percentage per capita. |
