“Live For Today”

The future is just ahead.
At times we look in the past instead.
We try to see some things.
And we forget things life brings.

You see we need to look at life in a new way.
We need to look at what we have today.
The little things we seem to miss.
Are things that at times leave us amiss.

Keep your dreams alive.
But never forget to live.
You see each day that we have to share.
Is not one we can spare.

For tomorrow today will be gone.
And we will wake up to a new dawn.
So enjoy the time you have today.
Before it is time for it to go away,

For once it is gone it is no more.
And tomorrow will be a new day in store.
Take the time with family and friends.
And enjoy the little odds and ends.

That life throws your way.
For those things are not there to stay.
Don’t pass up things that are only there once.
You see they will not be there in abundance.

So stand up and grab those moments.
It will be worth the investments.
Just take time to enjoy this life.
And leave behind the strife.

You see what most forget today.
When tomorrow comes it goes away.
So remember here at last.
You should live for today, not tomorrow or the past.

Thank you all for reading and your kind words. I see so many that still live in the past. What happen in the past learn from it but leave it be. Make things better today so you don't end up dwelling upon the past. For what you have today is your past tomorrow. Make it worthwhile having while you have the chance to do so.
