So I left yesterday with my mom, was gone for around 3.5 hours. I get home and as Im about to put the key in my door I hear my smoke detector going off. When I open, the apartment was filled with smoke. I ran next door to get my neighbor out and called 911. I feel like an idiot. I left something on the stove and now everything I own is garbage.

Kitten...someone mentioned what happened to you in Religion forums....
So very sorry this happened to you , Kitten!! Invest if you can, in several boxfans....open your windows and place the fans in each window to exhaust the inside air out.....keep this going for several hours at tops speed....do this all day if you can. Also ,buy several huge boxes of baking soda..sprinkle it all thruout your house..including over carpets, inside closets, inside your sofas.....all over everything...even wash walls and ceilings down with baking soda and water, and wash your clothes also in baking soda . You can also put clothes in plastic bags and dump baking soda in them and close up for a week. Also at walmart, there is something to put in your house to get smoke odor completely out . Call them and find out what it is..fogot the name. Hope this helps. Btw.. you are a very beautiful young lady...just saw your profile...the one without makeup. Girl, you are beautiful . Thank you so much everyone. You don't know what you got, til it's gone. I am starting to feel better...I may move back before the end of the week. Still waiting to find out.
