everywhere-present, all-powerful thAT JUST DESCRIBES HIM AGAIN IM ASKING WHO HE IS
Okay, now you're beginning to sound like Jack Nicholson.

You ask who He is, but the only way to come close to knowing who He is is through Scripture.

What other way is there to know "who He is"?

FIND WHO YOU ARE FIRST (I HAVE REASONS TO BELIEVE THAT IS SO HARD FOR YOU TO UNDERSTAND ANYTHING )

Who are you? Tell me everything that you are made of. Tell me why you breathe. Do you remember being in your mothers womb? Some things are not comprehensible to the human mind. We are NOT God.Only He knows all....if you really read the bible, and understood, then you would know this. We are not on His level.

God is whomever YOU choose him/her/it to be!
I know who my God is and you need to decide for yourself.
That's why we've been given a mind and free will.

You don't have to hollar. We're not deaf.

I recommend that you read up on some philosophers that have struggled with the same question.

St. Anselm, St. Thomas Aquinas, David Hume, and Ernest Nagle are few worthy of reading.

It's interesting to see their viewpoints when they ask themselves, "Does God Exist?".

What I see is this, JSH is an all welcoming website. There is everything from Wiccans to Catholic. You are the only one tryin to push. Please explain???

It is obviously the theist’s responsibility to define what they mean by god since they are the ones claiming that some sort of god exists. Unless they can provide an adequate definition, then as Smith says their claims aren’t really communicating anything at all — and, in that case, the atheist’s position of disbelief is justified. How can it not be reasonable to not believe in the existence of something which claimants can’t even define?

There is some kind of rush you are getting.

This is not to say, however, that atheists have no responsibility whatsoever in the matter. When any debate or discussion about the existence of god starts, it’s their responsibility to make sure that the claimants at least try to define what they mean by the term. It’s easy for theists to forget if they are accustomed to talking with other believers where everyone assumes that everyone means basically the same thing (which may or may not be justified — their failure to explore that question is problematic).

I think we should end this discussion. I will not entertain you any further by having to defend my beliefs. I have not noticed anyone questioning yours.

for example.....Who is the father of Joseph?
MAT 1:16 And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.

LUK 3:23 And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli.

Okay - I am usually a nice person on this site.

However, I am witnessing two different styles of writing with goatmeal. This suggests to me that we are communicating with two different people.

I smell a fish.

Also, I find it difficult to believe that you are a 20 year old EMT atheist that is otaining a degree in religious arts.

I read your profile...atheist. Please don't use this forum to go against God. If you don't want to believe then that's your right. But it seems like you want to start a God bashing session?

This is the Judaic, Christian, Muslim, Buddhist, Hindi, and Atheist, and any other topic which relates to religion forum.
He didn't start responding negatively until the patronizing & prejudice began.

That is why I posted that specific reply. I believe it is everyones right to have their own beliefs. I used to go to my Soldiers Wiccan services,Saturday nights,on West Fort Hood. He was new to the area and had no transportion. But, I felt he needed his faith and connections to get through his time in the Army. They never bashed me or questioned my beliefs. They did explain their beliefs to me because I was watching them worship. But after their rituals we sat by a fire, drank a bit of wine, shared bread and talked about life in general. Sometimes they would have conversations amongst themselves about their religious beliefs and others. I was never offended by their remarks because it is their right. NEVER was I put on the hot spot of defending my religion. I even took my Catholic husband and we enjoyed the May pole celebration with them. People are people. I believe God is the only one who has the right to judge others. But, that is just my belief.

Excuse me, but weren’t you the one who raised the question?

the bible contradicts its self hundreds of times anyway

So? Are you suggesting that’s the only plausible picture of God?

If you don’t want to believe in the Bible, then don’t. I don’t believe it’s true either. I believe in Wankan Tanka. (metaphorically speaking  )

So I guess my answer to your question of who is God is that Wankan Tanka is god.

Who is She? She’s me, and you, and every other living creature in this universe She’s also the rocks and the rivers too, but don’t say that too loudly because it sends the Christians into giggling fits. bigsmile
