Should men be giving relationship advice on JSH?

Example:

JSH SUZIE69 (post),

I hope someone can help me here. The other day I set off for work leaving my husband in the house watching the TV as usual. I hadn't gone more than a mile down the road when my engine conked out and the car shuddered to a halt. I walked back home to get my husband's help. When I got home I couldn't believe my eyes. He was in the bedroom with a neighbor lady making mad passionate love to her. I am 32, my husband is 34 and we
have been married for twelve years.

Can you please help?

JSH JOE25 (reply)

Susie, a car stalling after being driven a short distance can be caused by a variety of faults. Start by checking that there is no debris in the fuel lines. It could be that the fuel pump itself is faulty, causing low delivery pressure to the carburetor float chamber. I hope this helps. drinker

That's because this particular individual didn't read past the car problem. He just responded to what he knew! However, I think guys can provide valuable perspective in most situations. It takes two in every relationship, doesn't it?

Definately shouldn't listen to him. It might be fuel injected and not have a carburator. Or if it's a GM could be a ignition problem. laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh

Since in most cases, well, us men are at least half of the problem/relationship, so I don't see why not. However, I generally wouldn't ask someone who had been married and divorced 5 times about how to successfully be married. The key question in your example is the kind of advice the person was looking for. While it was clear she was married to a loser, she might be one also and may have only been seeking advice about her car because her husband was otherwise occupied. glasses

I think the key to your statement is that he didn't look past the car being broke down..... Most guys are always in fix it mode...somethings can't be fixed.

To give good advise you have to have a grasp of human nature...most people don't.
