I have little sayings that I use that I have made up to motivate me etc. I call them Kim-isms

Who or what I am is not defined by my beliefs.

I was wrong when I thought I was right and right when I thought I was wrong. It really just doesn't matter, because everything is just opinion.

Its part of Scientologist belief that they prefer outsiders not to describe their Scientology beliefs. They tend to get quite offended by that. Perhaps one will explain it to us the way they prefer to do so. They are very particular about how they "witness" their religion to outsiders.

it's their right to not discuss it but how do you chat about something you can't talk about? I guess i don't get it. why would I even want to entertain that belief if they can't discuss it with me in the open?

I do disagree about the Bible not being complete however. there has been scriptures found that is not included in the Bible so therefore I don't believe man compiled the Bible entirely with everything. and because some ancient words can't be accurately translated. but it is what I believe because God gave us the free will to chose to worship him or not. He wants people to freely go to Him

the basic concept and laws are in the Bible I believe but there are many things that aren't that could shed some light etc.

They do discuss it. They just dont want outsiders like me telling their beliefs though. They say that us outsiders dont understand and that we get it all wrong. They prefer outsiders to leave it to them. Its difficult for me to describe and i dont want to offend any of them that may be on here because if there is I would like to talk to them There is info all over the internet if anybody would like to find out for themselves.

mirror...still don't get it lol. eveen if an outsider of something talks about what he knows of it etc....doesn't mean I'm going to take what he said as the gospel and i'm smart even to see things and research myself. Guess i still don't know why they have an issue with an outsider talking about it...oh well

I do understand why.

They feel they have something very special and it works for them. They are busy making their lives into what they want. They know that only certain people will be attracted to and come into that system of belief because they understand how the laws work.

They don't waste their time arguing with others or discussing it with outsiders. It is a tight nit group.

They realize that some of their beliefs sound strange and wish to avoid ridicule so they present their core beliefs in very careful manner. Remember Tom Cruise once said in a movie "You cant handle the truth". Thats how Scientologist feel about most outsiders and discussing their beliefs

lol well I met ole Tom on the set of Born on the 4th of July...my sis was an actress. he was rude and arrogant and proved it even more to me with Brooke Shields etc. hope he's not their poster child lol

but beliefs have been ridiculed and torn apart througout history. I believe it's people that can stand up for their beliefs...no matter how off the wall it might seem...deserve respect. but that's just me. JB has asked me before why I feel the need to defend my beliefs at times...because I feel it's worth it and deserves respect. that is why I try to respect others beliefs for what they are. maybe it's the part irish - redneck in me that stands up for my beliefs and no matter who agrees or how odd they may seem...they are my beliefs and worth fighting for

That is sooo true! Most people can't handle the truth. I have received a lot of ridicule with some of my considerations of what might be the truth.

Truth is really a lot stranger than fiction. People aren't ready for what Scientology gets into.

I will be the first to admit I don't always turn the other cheek. I'm human and not perfect but i have learned to let things go etc. do I always do this??? no or maybe not right away. i'm still learning but getting better. I try to be Christ like because of my beliefs...but i'm a work in progress

I am very firm in my beliefs but like to learn about others. will i change what i believe...probably not but there is a chance I will adjust them. I will admit I don't know alot of terms used in these forms. I will ask if I need to and hope people are willing to educate me. I'm not stupid by any means...but there are things out there that i don't know.

i believe learning about differences help do away with hate and prejudice. alot of prejudice comes from fear of the different and fear of the unknown. if you learn then you take away fear. you may not agree but you have learned.

i am sure i will catch flak for this part but here it goes. I don't hate anyone....i may hate the actions...but not the person. i learned a long time ago to try to understand why people do what they do. i may not fully get it but understanding helps me to not hate. take a serial killer...i believe that something in life happened and he chose to go down that path instead of getting help. do i hate what he did...yeppers...but i find more pity for him and therefore do not hate him.

one of my biggest faults is I do have a childish like heart. even if i understand why people act as they do...i don't understand why they hurt others because that isn't my nature. it's like my brain knows it but my heart still asks why why why. much like a child always questioning why. i have had to learn (and still learning) that i my never get it and it's not worth going crazy over. you can't control others but can only control yourself
