- The 8th Day of Taurus -

A local Farmer who has been tormented the last two nights finding more Scarecrows in his field than normal awoke this morning to discover all of his scarecrows, including his original one have disappeared. When asked about how he feels about this prank the farmer replied, "I don't know what to think right now. I almost wish the scarecrows were all still here, at least then they'd still be doing their job!"

No more news to report at this time, see you tomorrow.

*Rathil has grown to anxiously await the daily posting of the newspaper. With so few people visiting the tavern lately he has been becoming a tad stircrazy. He is rather disappointed that only one news story seems to be of any importance today though, although he finds himself intrigued by the content. Seems that what is going on with the scarecrows is more than just a prank. Rathil looks forward to being able to investigate more later in the day.*

*He walks back to his table, kicks his feet back, adjusts his hat and goes back to sleep for awhile. Hoping that soon more people will begin to show up.*

She walks in from the outside. Her face still dirty and tear streaked. The faint smell of jasmine still lingers about her. Silver walks closely beside her. she looks aound to see who is here and finds a table in the back cloaked in shadows; there she sits and waits.

*Rathil hears someone walk in. By the sound of the two feet he can clearly here against the floor boards accompanied with the sound of more padded feet walking beside the newcomer, Rathil quickly deduces it is Re'anna that just walked in.

Without moving his hat or opening his eyes he calmly says,*

Good morning Re'anna, feeling any better from the other day. You gave poor Kadis quite a scare. I think he was hiding in the back room with that troll he has working here.

*The door opens and the little human girl walks back inside.*

*Goes to the bar and sits down, readjusting her sword as she sits*

*Rathil tilts the brim of his hat up a bit and sees the pirate woman sitting at the bar. Letting his hat drop back down over his eyes he says,*

Ah, it is good to see you again, I was starting to think you set sail on me.

*Kadis Walks in from the back room, sees Re'Anna and immediately walks into the back again.*

*Looks at Rat and raises an eyebrow and orders a bottle of rum*

*Kadis pokes his head out from the corner*

*Smirks a bit*

What can I say, it's obvious you are a lady of the sea. It seemed like a logical conclusion. Although I am glad you stuck around to liven this place up a bit. It's been quite dead lately.

What makes you think Mr Rathil that i am a lady of the sea?

Well the heavy drinking for one thing and the ability to hold more liquor without feeling the effects than most should be able too. If you are out at sea that long, you have to have something to keep you occupied, Secondly, the very carefree demeanor you give off in the time I have spoken with you. I am sure you have cares and worries but they are often relaxed by the freedom you have on the sea. Not an unusual thing. Third, these fabulous clothes you just happened to have on hand. I love the outfit and it makes me feel like I should be crewing a ship and lastly you are the only person I have met that carries around spare eyepatches in their pocket.

*Rathil muses pointing to his eye*

I could be wrong but from what I have seen of you I would suspect I am right on the money.

AND How do you know i am not simply a mercinary whom has gone and killed a few sailors and stolen their items? And who is to say that my alcohol ability isnt from being a decendent from an elvin or dwarf? *She smirks snidly* For all you know I could be royalty excaping my royal duties and hiding out here until everyone forgets my name. *Grabs her rum and takes a healthy drink*

True, could be, The possibilities are endless. My Scenario is much more logical though, and should you be a mercenary that stole the sailors items, number one I fully appriciate you giving me such nice stolen items free of charge, by the way not something a very good mercenary would do. but that only goes to show that the outfit you were plus the one you gave me points to someone of the sea. Either yourself or someone you stole from.

Also if you were royalty who was hiding out you don't do a very good job of it. You make yourself too well known. Someone who was hiding out would not go out of their way to inquire about the problems of a stranger.

I will admit there are other possibilities. they just don't make as much sense

*Rathil says now with a huge grin on his face enjoying the banter back and forth.*

If i WERE a 'maiden of the sea' why in the hell would i be on a tavern on land and not on my ship where they would have ample liquor and i could get anything i wanted brought to me. Besides my "friend" if you havent heard, woman on a boat is bad luck.

Pfft.. That old superstition! In MY opinion women on a boat are good luck!
