“Which Is It?”


So many times I see love.
Like a game of push and shove.
Tell me what you really expect.
Just to be honest and to respect.

How one really does feel.
What ever you do make it real.
Don’t call another a pet name.
And lead them on as if it was a game.

Always be true to yourself first.
Don’t dive in a relationship headfirst.
Take time and know where your heart.
Is and try never to tear another’s apart.

Believe me the pain is real.
And they will hurt for a heart is not steel.
Don’t sit back and just watch.
Hoping they will see your not a match.

You see love is not one sided.
Between two it must be decided.
One can not make it go.
For it is important for both to know.

That love is really there without a doubt.
Or if all one wants is really out.
You see with love you should not have to blink.
Or even sit back and think.

It should be automatic and you know.
And both should be able to show.
For if you know it is not love.
Then speak up and be as gentle as a dove.
Make sure you know what love consists of.

Very good Kristi...no the heart is nothing to play with. Yes, you can call someone a pet name, but mean it in your heart and stand true to your word. This was good and to the point.
