Do you believe that the spirits of dead pets hang around before going into heaven? I've been reading a really good book about ghost cats, where people encounter spirits of felines that came back to say "goodbye" to the owners, or sticking around and doing the same routines over everyday.  I don't know if I believe that! My Golden Retriever, Riley, has dreams. I know that is what's happening because it sounds just like a person who talks in their sleep. Just no human words. But she growls at things, whimpers, and halfway barks. When dogs are awake and bark, they are either telling other animals something or telling us something. There are mindless barker just like there are mindless talkers. So, what makes a soul? Where exactly is it? I chose to think everything has a soul in it's own way.  Nan

I agree that animals and babies have certain senses that we have lost as adults, but could not say it would be a term of "allowing". some, including myself, just may not have that ability.

Animals and babies are special..they can see things that most adults will not allow themselves to see. I agree in part. I agree that animals and babies have certain senses that we have lost as adults, but could not say it would be a term of "allowing". some, including myself, just may not have that ability. Well..I say "allow" because as children grow up they are taught that such things as spirits and angels and other abilities do not exist..So they just block it for fear of mom and dad sending them off to the nut house..That actually happened to a friend of mine some years back..He was very very gifted until his mom kept telling him that the things he could do were of Satan..The more his mom talked the more he closed himself down..I am lucky..my mom has never said I was a nut or anything just because of all the things I can do.She's slightly scared of me..but she doesn't think I'm a nut

And many times that means a quick wit, which means forms of intelligence. Some of the greatest comics are genious. So you might want to at least talk to him. The first guy in this thread that has shown signs of humor life.
