Everyone is entitled to an opinion. You don't see me criticizing yours.

You are more than entitled to your own opinions and you are more than entitled to critique whatever you find wrong in my post. I am sorry. I just don't view torturing someone as a form of justice. I don't care what they did. I have never been a big fan of the whole eye for an eye mentality. I don't see any difference between the people who commit these crimes and the people who say, "That guy did something horrible. Let's do something equally horrible or worse back to him."

So yes, have your opinions and critique mine in any way you see fit. It won't bother me because I will also offer my opinions on the matter.

Look man let me make it simple..There should be a special place in hell for people that harm children. Accidents go without saying but causing harm to a child or anyone for that matter but especially a child, on purpose warrants an outrage felt by many just as you have read from all of the people that have posted comments on this particular topic.

That's the whole thing though. I read that article and the only thing I can find them guilty of is being stupid. This isn't a story where the dad got angry and shook the child to death or a mother had some weird depression and God told her to kill her child. This is a matter of they were not fit to have children and they didn't know how to handle it. No where did it say they did this on purpose and they even called 911 when the baby stopped breathing. They are stupid and undeserving of having children sure. Although I wouldn't even be sure this should be going to trial under a homicide. It is a manslaughter charge at best but more realistically it falls under laws for neglectful parents

By the way I am also not saying they shouldn't be charged and they should probably even be found guilty. They shouldn't be put to death or tortured.

?????????????????
Wait till it happens to your own child or relative and see how you feel.

Killing a child is about the most heinous thing on earth. One who stands up for child killers/molesters is as bad, IMO, as the individual who actually did the killing/molesting.explode

I was never able to concieve a beautiful gift such as a child and I don't understand how some of these people in society can have as many as they want and hurt them or kill them just like it is nothing. It makes me sick. Reguardless what the law will do to the person doing the harm to the child is nothing compared to what God will do to them come their day in his judgement.

Woah, no where did I say I was standing up for them. I didn't even say that they should be let away scott free. I am saying that there should be no instance in which it is okay for one person to take another persons life. That includes the death penalty, Euphansia (sp?), abortion. Anything like that. I am not advocating child killers.

I am saying that we as human beings should not be so ready to kill other people when we know nothing about facts of the case. I am saying I am surprised at how many people were ready to jump up and kill this man when it seems that most people didn't even read the article.

You are all talking like these people murdered this baby in cold blood because they just didn't want it anymore. The baby died because the parents were stupid and gave the 4 month old an adult sized dose of medication because the baby was sick. Then when the baby stopped breathing they immediately called 911.

I just don't get why so many people are so revenge driven. Not just on this issue but in general. So many people think it is okay to retaliate against people that harmed them and usually the retaliation is worse off then the initial act. It's mainly because people get too emotionally invested in these situations instead of looking at things objectively. That's why we have an objective legal system.

Sorry, there is nothing objective to look at when one kills/rapes/molests a child.

Have you NO idea what that child went through or will go through the rest of her/his life?

11 broken ribs??
Come-on man. Do you think that was an accident or neglect?
The broken leg? The lies? Maybe all this is just a coincidence of accidents?noway noway noway
Stupid? If they are that stupid then why not go ahead and put them out of their misery for that sake alone! I mean dude that is stupid beyond retardation. Even a teenage babysitter knows enough to call a doctor!

I just reread the article and I will concede I missed the part about 11 broken ribs. Also I am fine with the fact that you aren't making fun or mocking. That doesn't bother me. The only point I was trying to make behind this article is how people respond to issues like this and how some of the responses are almost as bad as what they are saying these parents did.

I just wanted people to kind of take a step back and think about what they were saying instead of just automatically responding with sheer emotional irrationality. I don't so much care about who is right and who is wrong in something like this. I am more interested in why people think the way they do.

Winx:

Read my thread "Survivor of a third trimester saline abortion." The picture I have up is that of the Survivor, Christian Gianna Jessens. I wanted to put a face to whom the thread was in regard to.

Perhaps you should read the thread about her biography. Might make you stop and think.
