It, like any other post at JSH....is an opinion......we all have them.......

It seems that some like to read more into the posters post than was intended......

Therefore we end up with posts....such as this one.

bigsmile

I totally agree. And since this was not posted as a joke... well you see where it went. The intent... remains unknown.

I'm so sorry it may have been posted in the wrong forum in your opinion.........

But if you read it carefully.......the intent was to be humorous.....that was quite obvious to most who read it.....

and in my opinion.......very sucessful at being intendedly HUMOROUS..............

all so called victimless crime should be legalized

then taxed use some of the tax for treatment programs for those who abuse themselves with the legalization

this is ***supposed*** to be a free country

think of the money theat will be moved from the black market to the public market

thus providing jobs and increasing tax revenue

not to mention the tax money saved by not oppressing those
that are not really hurting anyone (except *maybe* themselves)

doing this would more than likely increase tax money by 30% or more just think of how much that would help with dominating the world (no it is not funny [world domination] but it is on the way)

You made my point quite well, and agreed with me... not sure if you did that on purpose.

Thank you.

In general discussion? Not a joke.

People people geeez just calm down I can sit here and find fault with every topic if I want. Lighten up. I’ve had friends killed in car crashes so you can't post anything about a car. I had a friend die in a house fire so don't post anything about a house. I have a friend that was killed in a robbery so don't post anything about a store. Geeez

You don't get it do you?

If this was meant as a joke, post it there... if not write it for the readers.

Well if you want to get down right damn technical about it I think our drug program sucks in the US. It has been one of the biggest tax payer’s wastes of money. You just don't get it do you? We spend billions of dollars on "just say no to drugs" and the elderly down the street has to choose between food and medication. Have them move this post if it's pissing you off that bad. Then you can continue your day knowing you have fought for all man kind. Legalize drugs I say and this time I’m not smiling!

You are absolutely correct. Drug programs don't work because they need money to do the job right. So...they have taken it down to a whopping 21 to 28 day program. It takes much more time to help those that can't do it themselves.

By the way....you keep on smiling while you can. When those teeth start to rot and your face falls to your chin, and your scarred up body from injecting, and your blood factors change....I would be interested in seeing how you smile then.

It took me years to get clean. It takes up to a year to get it out of your system. It changed my whole body chemistry...Pride is when you know you have done something good....something hard...I have pride now...I AM CLEAN AND FREE OF CHEMICAL SUBSTANCES.

Kat

Kudos to you. You worked hard to get where you're at.

The VA Hospital in my city only gives the vets a 14 day rehab. The money has been cut. If they relapse, they can't come back for 1 year.

Plain & simple, drugs are highly destructive in so many ways & they are tearing @ the very fabric of our society.Enormous suffering, cost, loss of life,dignity,parent-less children, etc. My 2 greatest passions in life are working w/troubled youths & taking down dealers.75% of the clientèle are directly related 2 drug use or their parents are drug users. This topic doesn't even qualify as a joke & humor topic. And I ain't smiling either,U might say I'm dead serious in fact.Well then U have your agenda & so do I.Justice will be served swift & true.Godspeed!Cy
God Bless the adoption of Drug Free America program regardless of it's flaws for it is still a step in the right direction.

Here's the intent. I was listening to the news when I wrote this post. In the last decade our prison population (just in South Carolina) has had an increase of over 800%. At the same time, violent crimes have had a decrease. We are now paying 46 billion dollars more annually for our prisons. That is ridiculous. Legalize the damn drugs. I posted it as humorous but seldom do I get into a serious discussion on JSH. As Ghostrider said "the intent was to be humorous" because I think those numbers are rediculous but on a damn serious note and (to please all of you outraged people) more to the point....the damn drug policies don't work. There now maybe you can figure out my "intent".

I find it interesting your solution to criminality is legalization of drugs.

My policy on drugs...smoken' if you got em'...

No I'm kidding, I'm drug free.... NOW.

Which is why I can poke fun at it. I've been there, I've done it, I got a head on my shoulders and stopped a lONG time ago, but I can still see the humor in some of the stupid stuff i did.

"Dude, they can't take the drugs from us, because they are IN us"

"That's the greenest green I've ever seen"

"So do you think the spider on the wall is looking back at us and thinking, wow, that's the most interesting thing I've seen all day?"

just some of my notable quotes from my drug days....Enjoy.

Who suggested that? I did not read anyone make that suggestion... Interesting assumption though...

Why?

People smoking marijuana will reduce traffic fatalities significantly. (Have you ever seen anyone smoking pot driving faster than 30 mph?)

People snorting cocaine will not eat as much. (this will offset the food consumption of the people smoking pot)

ACID - Have you ever seen anyone in a bad mood while doing acid. They look like this for 12 hours! ----->laugh

Valiums.... For those times Nyquil just don't cut it

Ecstasy....So ugly people can get laid too!

Crack cocaine This alone has brought the price of BJ's and prostitution way down.

Just my thoughts

Yes, the prisons are filled with non-violent drug offenders.

I believe that we need to work on having quality, affordable, long-term rehabs available to these people instead of putting them into prisons.

I don't think we need to lagalize armed robbery, murder, theft but if drugs were legal what do you think those stats would be? As was said earlier this was meant to be humorous and it's fine that people discuss this topic but don't slam it or me because my opinion was/is not posted to your satisfaction.

If you post it here I am as entitled to my opinion as you are. If you don't want people to disagree with you... keep it to yourself.
