What is it that you like best about your favorite gospel radio station?

I like listening to WFIA 900 AM the Spirit in Louisville, KY. They have Ralph Stanley on each evening at about 4 p.m. when I'm driving home and his teaching is great!

They also have some family oriented teaching with Nancy Lee DeMoss on at about 3 or 3:30 each afternoon. She has a Revive Our Hearts site with a 30 day challenge where you say something positive to your mate for 30 days and say something positive to other people about 'em.

I also like the Trinity Broadcasting Network on cable TV. They had TD Jakes, the Potters House on today and it was great. He has a web site too where you can listen to his broadcasts. So you don't need a radio, necessarily to listen to Gospel. There's great gospel music concerts on TBN every Friday evening and Saturday evenings feature some great dramas and youth programming.

Hope this helps. Where do you live and what are the stations around there?

Usually on Sundays there are good programs on whatever radio stations are around. They have some good ones on WHAS AM 840 here Sunday mornings and good stuff on the TV channels, too.

But none of them are substitutes for going to church, reading the Bible and praying. They're good additions to the whole program, but not replacements, in my book.

i don't know, i just know that they drown out all other radio stations that there are, in a hundred-fifty mile radius, so there's not much variety. nothing else comes through.
if you go down south, there's some great black gospel stations, with real heart..

I like listening to 960 AM out of Marshall, Arkansas. 960 AM is the Living Waters Broadcasting station. It has a little news but mostly a music station. I like listening to the Southern gospel. Don't have good reception in these hills and I don't have cable or satellite so the stations have to be powerful to make it through these hills.

There's a guy from Arkansas I listen to on the TV once and a while. He's from the Shepherd's Chapel. He's kind of controversial, if you Wikipedia him.

How'd you get that Rainbow Trout handle? Do you fish? Fish like the disciples, too?

There is a lot of rainbow trout in the lakes and a trout hatchery that I like going to. I like to fish but haven't in some time. There is some great fishing close by and we have some great lakes to boat, fish and swim in. I like the music and find it soothing.
