I grew up in a Baptist/Catholic household...no wonder I'm not christian.....grumble

Sunday dinner was always good though. I was so glad when I was 16, had my own car and a job, I ALWAYS worked sunday morning by request.

As long as you had a family and the food was good.....happy

When I was young our family would go to church and afterwards go home eat, change clothes, pack up some food and go riding in the country...... it was such a fun time.

There would be times we would stop and pick strawberries, and blueberriess and you did not have to pay for them.

Dad and Mom knew the history of everyone's farm and family because all of our families farmed, helped and raised their kids together....

Those days are long gone now, but did your family have things you did every Sunday or weekends? What were they?

Come from a musical family, so we would sing in the church choir every Sunday morning. Typically in the afternoons there would be an anniversary or birthday celebration and our family would be asked to perform at those gatherings. In the afternoons when we would not have an engagement, we would go back to the farm and spend the afternoons in the yard during the summer months or playing board games indoors during the winter months. My parents are all about family time! I miss that!

Thank you for that thought but we lost Dad last September which hit us all very hard. Thank goodness I had the vinyl record that we recorded put onto a CD. We let that play during the Memorial services eo everyone could celebrate his contribution to all of our lives. It was amazing!
