My mom says that Im not going to go see my boyfriend tomorrow even though he and I already have plans. Im still going anyways she cant stop me!!

Of course if you're living with your mom you do owe her some kind of respect. But at the same time she should respect you, too. Why doesn't she want you to go?

If you live at home and your parents support you then she MIGHT have a leg to stand on, but, I doubt that even then. Best thing to do is do whatever tickles your fancy, but, consider the cpossible consequences before you act so you are not surprised afterwords. JMAO

This would be perfectly logical if you were, say, sixteen or younger. But since you're past the age of consent, she no longer has anything to say about what you do or don't do. Also, there's VERY little she can do legally as well. Living with your mom sorta adds a whole new dimension to things, but the overall story remains the same.

I have a mother who is sooo overbearing and controlling that she rivals a warden. I am almost 32. I do not live anywhere near her, 8 hours to be exact and she still tells me what to do about everything to the point where she is just down rite hurtful. Don't get your hair cut like that it looks stupid, don't eat that you'll get fat, its your fault your getting divorced, no wonder guys don't like you, you'll never be anything. At this point in my life I don't need poisonous relationships so we do not speak. Maybe one day we will but it will be on my terms. You have to live your life and if you live with her then yes you should be respectful, but at the same time not let her be disrespectful. Does she not like your boyfriend?
