Topic: WELCOME TO THE GREEN DRAGON'S INN ! - part 2 | |
---|---|
*Pushes the wine away incase of poison or.. drow contamination. She then puts something in her ears when the music starts trying to enjoy the silence of her mind* My quiet and glum looking friend When will your silence come to an end? Can I buy you a meal, something good and hearty Come dance with us, join the party! Elven wine is only good when it's cold If you don't want this perhaps you prefer the gold *Rathil pulls out 3 gold pieces and places them on the table in front of the wood elf before picking up the drink she pushed away. Smiles back and sings* Someone should drink it so it doesn't waste and I do so enjoy the taste! |

*Looks at Rathil not hearing a word he said. Looks at the coins and sees him take the drink then back at the drow where her eyes flash green again*

Barbus my friend, These people do need to get up and dance. Times are too glum to sit around feeling miserable
*Raises the glass he just took from the wood elf to barbus and sings* Ring ding diddle diddle i de o Ring di diddle i o He said, "Lad I don't know where you've been but I see you won first prize" |
*stands slowly and throws her hood over her face*
*puts his arm around Rathil's shoulder to keep from teetering over, after all, Barbus has been drinking all day long*
Here's one from me travels to the far west, about 2 months west off of the shores of Bavidarian, there is an island where my friend the Shamen lives. Sing with me if you know it. I've been a wild rover for many a year, And I spent all my money on whiskey and beer, But now I've returned with gold in great store, And I never will play the wild rover no more. And it's no, nay, never No, nay, never, no more, Will I play the rover No never, no more. I went down to an ale house I used to frequent, And I told the landlady my money was spent. I asked her for credit, but she answered me "Nay. Such custom like yours I could have any day." I took from my pocket ten sovereigns bright, And the landlady's eyes opened wide with delight, She said, "I have whiskeys and wines of the best, And I'll take you upstairs, and I'll show you the rest. I'll go home to my parents, confess what I've done, And I'll ask them to pardon their prodigal son. And if they caress me as oft times before, I never will play the wild rover no more! |

*goes to a window and looks out, then back to the drow and wood elf trying to figure out why the wood elf gets along with the drow so much*
*Tries to pick up the tune as Barbus sings. He has never heard it before but tries to stay with the tune.*
And it's no, nay, never No, nay, never, no more, Will I play the rover No never, no more. *Trying to throw in another verse* My parents forgave me, and that was just grand I set out again, with no money in hand This time staying away from the beer and the whiskey I decided to invest in something a little more frisky! *As rathil finishes his verse and gives a big grin* |
Well done Rathil, that's the spirit, too bad some of us cannot find it within themselves to have a good time. *pointing towards the hooded elf* oh well, let her be miserable and alone, having her around would just sour my mood.
Agreed my friend, perhaps one day she will join in the festivities. With the times coming the way they are. We will all need as much good spirit as we can muster
*Removes one of the items in her ears just as Barbus makes his comment. She looks twards him and almost takes a step twards him but catches herself before putting her foot down and looks back to the window*

Hopefully that day would be sooner than later, 'cause if it is later, there may be little time for fun, for I have had my fill and might be ill, this Ale has been my lifeblood all day, and I have to be here to work the tavern, Criani is off taking care of business, and I promiced Boromir some time off.

Sad to hear my friend. Anyway I must depart for now. I have some errands to run for my hobbit friend next door. I will be back later tonight for some brew

*walks the tavern, collecting glasses, and mugs, and wiping tables, makes his way behind the bar and sets the glasses and mugs down, picks up a piece of chalk and goes to the board where the daily special is posted, and adds: "Smile, the world isn't ending today."*
*Turn twards the bar patrons and leans against the wall*
*starts washing mugs and glasses, wiping bottles and the bartop*
Kind friends and companions, come join me in rhyme Come lift up your voices in chorus with mine Let us drink and be merry, all grief to refrain For we may and might never all meet here again Here's a health to the company and one to my lass Let us drink and be merry all out of one glass Let us drink and be merry, all grief to refrain For we may and might never all meet here again Here's a health to the dear lass that I love so well Her style and her beauty, sure none can excel There's a smile upon her countenance as she sits on my knee Sure there's no one in in this wide world as happy as we |

*debates telling Barbus hes as tone deft as he is a hiddious drow but doesn't. She just watches him intently*
*How he slept through all this is nothing short of amazing, but still in the tavern he finally wakes up once again. He looks around some, feeling slightly embarrassed at passing out in a bar twice in one day.*
