Boromir then slumps over on the counter. " 2000 gold pieces. You know what I would do with that kind of gold," he dreams.

Orcs you say? I wonder what the devil they want up here. Oh well, they be wanting a fight if they even come near here or my academy, and I'll give em one too.

Aye, you could start your own tavern, and pay someone to do what ye are doing now, so you can have some time off *laughs loudly* but if I was you, I would probably take some of that 2000 gold and invest in a weapon or two, maybe some armor, then come see me, lad, there is trouble coming, and we may need every able body to keep it back.

Look at the brightside boy-o they are there, you are here, they have a long way to come to get to us, and you have a lot of other creatures to worry about before you may be a formidable foe for those orcs, no offense, but I heard about the barbarian, and he's a weak one. Work on fighting some of the lesser foes, build up strength and skill, and you will one day be fighting those orcs 3 at a time like you were squashing a cockroach in the peasent district.

Boromir then takes the parchment back in his hands and reads further for a moment before setting it down.

"I remember a time when this town was buzzling with business. Why at this time the tavern was full of customers having their meals. Merchants were screaming on the streets for the lowest prices of their goods that they travelled to the other side of the lands to get. Children were playing and everyone had a smile on their face. Why today we can't even stay out after dark anymore without being robbed by these mysterious rogues.

"Well I should be saving for a sword and since you offer free training I will take you up on that offer good friend, but be patient I have no clue how to wield anykind of weapon. I am but a son of a armorsmith and I don't even do that for a living. I cannot stand the smoldering heat and the continous annoying banging from a hammer," Boromir replies.

I know, after the lockdown, my school has been suffering, not a student for days now, if it weren't for my daily traing, the school would be useless, thank the gods I paid for it in full, otherwise I do not know how a normal person could keep up with the bills when they are not collecting tuition from any new students. Not that you had anything to do with it, yet I see from regular high elves who occassionally visit this tavern still having a grudge with dark elves.
