this was posted in another thread and it's something that i'm curious of

ok now just out of curiosity here.....

a religious post sums up that god is the meaning of life and anybody who does not believe in god is meaningless and nothing.

now he has stated his opinion and thats all fine and dandy. he really has done nothing wrong here that i can see, how bout the mods?

i'll await a reply before i continue here.......

the mod's reaction to the quote. apparently you weren't in the thread where it came from. it went unanswered since it was irrelivant to the topic, so i started one for it

No there is nothing wrong with asking opinions

and i originally posted it, out of curiosity as to why things like this are deemed acceptable to the moderators when other things that are clearly jokes, sarcastic comments and ribs out of fun get deleted......

but in the 'supposed' post, the OP is making an accusation/personal attack on those who do not believe... why is this not the same?

ok so since his opinion offended me for basically saying my life had no meaning and i was worthless for not believing in god is acceptable then my opinions on certain things that got deleted for offending people was wrong then right?

This is what I wrote;
In my opinion I would consider this post offensive because the poster has clearly attacked non-believers in god.

Maybe there wasn't a reaction, and besides, there isn't really a question being asked.

Kinda looks like someone was stirring the pot a little.

I think we know why it got ignored.

The same reason that half my questions either get ignored or get reported.

this came about from another thread that got into it being against forum rules to attack and ridicule people about spelling and grammer, which ok i can understand. for the most part it's all harmless jokes and jabs, but they get deleted where things that others find offensive get ignored.....

Or maybe someone just wanted to understand why it is ok for some people to express their opinions and not others.

so, it follows that posts which attack child molestors or murderers or players or republicans or democrats are also unacceptable? Is it the message or is it the topic, that is my nrxt question.

one of the best gifts we have from god is freedom of choice! god is love he created us all in his image so were all products of love and was created with pure love. god gave us all choice and hes love so he will not condem us for not folling him but there will be consecenes for are actions. hell is seperation from god but contrary to what alot of religious people say you dont burn forever or at all the burning lake of sulfer was made for trhe destruction of the devil

Ok, First off protesting mod actions in the forums is not allowed, secondly, carrying an argument from one thread to another is not allowed. If someone attacks you on the forums, the only appropriate venue is to mail Mike Or Vanchau, or better...use the report abuse feature and we will look into the matter. obviously, i can't leave this thread open, please do not create another in this vein.

Thanks,
Mark
