the guy was a piece of poop It is unfortunate that he passed, I'm sure someone loved him.... but my sentiments exactly, why honor someone like this.... The local crack dealer died and no one honors him.... did the local crack dealer fight for civil rights, get off his ass and fight for our constitutional ,get a presidential medal of honor etc.i think not. No, but he also doesn't put up the false premise of what a great person he is either..... |

Where's hicker when we need her? "Don't post here unless you agree with me" is that the stance we are taking here? I personally didn't like his stance on much of anything, I don't like that he was accused of spousal abuse on several occasions, but he didn't get convicted, because she took him back every time, and dropped charges. But to censor someone's thoughts... I didn't think that was allowed here? I must be wrong. A personal attack on a celebrity... heck the media does it all them time.... but you can still show respect and if you don't have any move on.I have never heard anything about spousal abuse so show a source. Respect is EARNED... beat your wife, you have no respect from me.... read my previous post addressing this subject. well sweets i was an abused wife and unless you have dead on proof he beat his wife or have talked directly to her just throwing out a fact you heard ten years ago doesn't cut it.i'm sure micheal moore would have used it in his documentary if so. I also doubt his wife would have stuck around for 64 years and thru the hell of altzheimers if her life was a daily beating. I was always taught to respect the dead and my elders,it's called manners. |

Let's please get this back on topic, this thread was not about the mans character, but about his passing. Let's just leave it at that shall we? No attacking/insulting others.

Whats really scarry to me is that a man can be accused of something 10 years ago, and be villified for it, with no proof or evidence a decade later.
Men. Be very carefull. If some crazy woman falsly accuses you of a crime, it could be held against you for the rest of your life. Whether you did it or not. |

Just a question......Could this be what you heard and misinterpretted it? It is a song that was written about him......
Stump - "Charlton Heston" [ from the album "A Fierce Pancake" (1988) ] Lyrics The pyramids were in construction The pharoah glowed with satisfaction But then to his immense surprise His empire fell before his eyes A hundred thousand busy slaves Downed their tools and stood and stared The Red seawalls stood like a canyon The pharoah pulled up in his wagon And saw within those walls of glass A herd of whales go racing past A hundred thousand fishy tales Crossed his mind about the day Then Charlton Heston put his vest on The broken tablets had been mended The golden calf had been up-ended And old folk sitting round the fire Would talk of voices from the sky Babies sailing down the Nile The recipe for locust pie A hundred thousand frogs per mile We'd always ask them to describe How Charlton Heston put his vest on Thou shalt not kill, thou shalt not steal Shalt not commit adultery Boils the size of fifty pee Lights! Camel! Action! Bushes that refuse to burn See these sandals hardly worn Raining blood, raining bread The night we painted Egypt red Thou shalt not covet, shalt not lie Thou shalt not bonk your neighbour's wife The recipe for egg fried lice A hundred ways to kill a fly Love your daddy, love your mummy Put your bread in milk and honey Loved his fish, he did, he did Never beat the wife and kids Slouch though desert, slouch through sand Until we reach the promised land Thou shalt not kill, thou shalt not steal Shalt not commit adultery Boils the size of fifty pee Lights! Camel! Action! |
