Debbie, If a bf is called a bloke, what is a gf called? Glad you had a nice weekend. A 'poke' I don't think so!! Help me out here, Debbie from England!! |

I may be wrong but I always thought the term was 'Dame'

Hmmm...I didn't know that. It sounds strange to me.
Thanks. |

Someone recently asked me if I needed help in the kitchen while I was cooking dinner. I suggested cleaning off the dishes. I have a dishwasher. This does not mean washing the dishes - just cleaning them off. Their answer was, "Naw. I'd prefer not to." They think that doing dishes is a women's job. I think this is a bad sign. If you were in a relationship, would you help with the dishes? Do you think it's the woman's job? Honest answer please. Honest answer is, I help witht he dishes but hearing what you just said. It sounds like they don't do much around the house and to means that is a bad sign. I think men should help more then most do around the house. I was taught to take care of myself and that means every aspect of my life |

Thank you, everybody, for the input. I have some thinking to do.

Did you reply "Then why the f*@K did you ask me, you twit?" It seems like the only appropriate thing to say at a moment like that. I'm still loving this one. |

how about a strike

how about a strike I have entertained that thought, Tina. Just last night he said that doing the dishes is a woman's job in a family situation. Funny - my father obviously hasn't been aware of this. I don't mind cleaning the dishes for the dishwasher. It's just that some days are busier than others and what about those sick days. A caring person would help. |

To be real,,,I have and would easily do it again, ALL..
I have always done ANYTHING that needed to be done.. And asking works GREAT,,,,TELLING,,,doesn't go well,,,either way,,,BOTH should just do for the other as needed or just to help the other.... |

You have a good point there. It is much nicer to be asked to do something than it is to be told to do something.
