If you email ppl who live on the other side of the planet whom you will never have a chance of meeting, they will respond. JSH has a hidden rule about ppl who live close enough to meet are forbidden from communicating with you. The punishment for violating this rule is that you get triple birthdays every year from then on.ohwell

I was wandering if there was kind of hidden rule. laugh

Absolutly see if you lived here I would ask you out for a drink or coffee something safe a place of your chooice Cause I amte scared:wink:

I have been asked out for coffee by few local ladies on here and whan I say sure I never hear from them againnoway noway noway ???????????WTF

And yeah, Lilith, you don't have a clue why they're writing...please! laugh

I mean that... I do not have a clue. My profile clearly states I have a boyfriend I met on the site and I stay for the forum community.

Examples of mail I get:

"Want to chat?"

"Hi"

"Hello!!!!"

And these were just today. So I wonder.... why are they writing?
Oh, my! You are just as cute on the inside! flowerforyou I meant because you're too cute for a guy not to mail...silly.

As an insider, I can tell you that this is called the "Proximity Nullification Protocol" -- or PNP -- and is intended to keep people from meeting each other, as a form of population control.

I noticed this neighbor a couple of weeks back when she looked at my profile. At the time I sent her a hello neighbor welcome to JSH e-mail. I received no response.

Someone started a thread today. It was about saying hello via e-mail to another member who she apparently knows. The member she spoke of is the very same one to whom I sent the e-mail.

I get dozens of e-mails a day from people across the country, but not even an acknowledgement of a welcome from a neighbor. This is the summation of my experience on JSH

Your e-mails are great though -- I don't recall a single "I'm bord" -- and that one you sent me, I'm still going through -- just fascinating stuff --

I have done the same thing and gotten pretty much no replies, but try to always reply to anyone who emails me. I think people are scared that if they answer an email that they are now locked into something. I say this. Email back. Even if you truly aren't interested in dating. I never heard of having too many friends.

I agree with you. They seem to think that you are now a couple if they respond. Geez, I would like to make friends. Someone has to make the first move to introduce themselves. One can never have too many friends.

[Lex, do you wear a tinfoil hat in order to get your emails?laugh

I used to, but it was hot and uncomfortable and the Martians got mad. Then I found out I can send myself e-mails from another computer and pretend like they're from other people. But then when I open them up, they're all from Russia. Must be a glitch.
