A Blade of Grass...
************************ A blade of grass so green to see. Millions together a green-green sea. I sit apon this mighty carpet of green. Admiring one blade of grass- within my fingers. Looking closer you see so much. A little crawly has made his road. I wonder where the road does go. Looking at another blade in this sea. It seems the same- yet different to me. Oh look what do you know! Another crawly has made his home. The roots of each blade are strong in the ground. Roots spread all around. One blade has several relatives you see. They make up the family of this sea. Dew kisses him each morning. Sunlight makes him envie with green. Moonlight dances with him in the evenings. Rain gives him a bathing of life. Snow blankets him in the winter. Resting brown and out of site. Spring wakes him up and dresses him again in green. People chop of his head with a mower it seems! Still the little blade of grass grows. How he does it- only Heaven knows. Plant a seed and watch your own blade grow. By: Susan (aka: Teddy) |
