If you race, what vehicle/class, how quick, where, and how often.

I race street bracket in my stock '07 Cobalt. Running mid to high 16s at around 81 mph. Summit Motorspoerts Park (Norwalk) and Dragway 42, but I want to try a few new tracks out this year. Not getting out as much as I'd like, about once a month.

Remember back when you'd be hard put to get an Impala with a 283 to turn those numbers. laugh

I probably should have mentioned that I don't think my 57 Thunderbird - not fully restored yet - would turn anywhere near that.

I used to live next door to the Beeline drag strip in Mesa, Az. Does that count? My dad raced stock cars and motorcycles when I was growing up...I loved it! I could put an engine together when I was 11 and had my first Harley at 14 . happy

The little 'balt amazes me. I get 35 MPG highway, 30 in mixed driving, have a great stereo and AC, and it scoots very, very well for what it is, even with the auto trans and 2.2 base motor.
Of course it's bracket racing, so you could still run your TBird!bigsmile

I drag my kawasaki zx12r at wisconsin international raceway, in the summit super series brackets.Took 5th last in points last year,i was the only one in the top 16 without a slick and wheelie bar.I ran 10.50's at 133mph not to bad for being 6'2'' and 300llbs.

At my home track we have a few guys that are very, very good w/o slicks and a wheelie bar. You're kicking butt the hard way, I salute you!bigsmile
